Blank module kits are available for any required size, but single (BM1) and double (BM2) sizes are normally kept in stock: we can also supply a variant with slotted front panel to take a PCB front–panel tongue such as the majority of our System Crate interfaces use.

The front and rear panels are made of 4mm (18 SWG) aluminium, while the side screens are made of black anodised 1.2mm (18 SWG) aluminium. The top and bottom runners are made of caustic etched extruded aluminium, and are designed to take a PCB fitted on the left side when viewed from the front.

The Hellerman–Deutsch jacking screw can be supplied separate, to make it easier for the panel to be worked on, or if preferred can be fitted in place for no extra charge. All necessary screws and washers, as shown below on the diagram of a BM1, are provided as part of the kit; but the Matrix Board shown on that diagram is extra.
