CAMAC SLG 1420 LAM Grader
Product Description
The SLG 1420 is a single width CAMAC module which can be used as
a LAM grader in serial systems but which may also be used in parallel
systems with a suitable cross–connected cable. The module implements all
the LAM encoder functions of the minimum Serial LAM Grader set as
defined in Appendix A of ESONE/SD/02, ”Recommendations for CAMAC
Serial Highway Drivers and LAM Graders for the SCC–L2”.
In addition to the minimum set the module also provides the
following features:–
- An internal 24 bit LAM status register that can be overwritten,
enabled, and disabled. When enabled, the contents of the
register rather than the external LAM pattern (L1–L24) is gated
with the LAM mask to form the LAM Request.
Initialise disables this register.
- An initialise command (F25,A15) performs the same function
as dataway Z.
- It is possible to select LAM 24 as highest priority encoded as
SGL=0. It is also possible to select the action whereby LAM
mask bit 0 acts as LAM mask bit 24. LAM 24 can then be set
and cleared by F20,A13 and F22,A13 respectively with data
equal to zero. In this mode LAMs 1–23 are encoded normally.
- Certain registers may br read:–
LAM status register – the internal status register if enabled or
the staticised LAM pattern if disabled.
LAM mak register.
LAM request register.
