This 32 channel 40mA/24V Output Register with Veto function was designed to meet or surpass the specification of the Borer type 1084A Output Register now that that module is no longer available.

It has two sets of 16 bit open–collector outputs clamped to a maximum of 24 volt output. The outputs are driven by two execute registers which are, in turn, loaded from corresponding 16–bit buffers. The two buffers can be independently overwritten from the dataway W–lines and their content can be examined via the R–lines, if desired, before connecting them to their relative execute register by F(25) command (either one or both together); alternatively on–board switches may be set to link through the buffers to their respective execute registers immediately upon F(16) update.
