This is the relay output version of module 218, the OR1084. It has the same structure of two 16–bit buffers, each of which is linked to its corresponding execute register either immediately, if on–board switch is in position 1 (there’s a switch for each of the two sets of 16 channels), or when commanded with F(25), transfer; this latter of course allows the buffer contents to be checked before any, possibly dangerous, outputs can be transmitted to plant items.

The output relays have change–over contacts, and are rated at 2A, 500V but other ratings may be supplied if wished; they have a maximum close time (including bounce) of 1msec, and opening time is the same.
