40-Way Matrix Termination Board Type MTB 4001 CAMAC
Product Description
This CAMAC–size card is for use in conjunction with the Matrix Status Scanner type MSS 1601 in relatively non–noisy environments. Each card carries PCB–mounted Klippon plant wiring connectors accommodating 40 pairs of wires to be connected to plant contacts, and provides the two series diodes recommended in the MSS 1601 specification. Although the cards can be placed in the same CAMAC crate as the relevant MSS 1601 – 8 of them are nedded to accommodate the full 320 contacts – they make no connection with the dataway, and may equally be housed in a separate non–powered (and indeed dataway–less) CAMAC crate, or may even be screwed into any convenient location, so long as the total cable length from MSS 1601 via MTB 4001 to any plant contact does not exceed 30 metres (although greater lengths can be tolerated at lower than maximum scanning speeds).
