CAMAC Display Branch Terminator BT6502

Product Description

Branch Terminator BT6502 terminates the CAMAC Branch Highway in accordance with EUR4600.

BT6502 is a double–width CAMAC module which is used to terminate the Branch Highway. It’s internal memory unit stores the data, the removal of the BTA signal being used to strobe the memory and thus staticise the Branch signals within the unit. The outputs from the memory devices drive a compact LED display on the front panel to indicate the state of each line on the Highway. An EXAMINE pushbutton on the front panel can be pressed to display signals from a quiescent Branch.

Signals BZ, BD and BTA are stretched to 100msecs or longer (depending on their initial duration) to drive individual LED displays. The inverse of BTB is displayed so that Crate Controllers involved in the Branch cycle are clearly indicated.

Specification Signal Standards

All Branch lines are terminated by 100 ohm resistive loads to +4.1V. Provision is made at the rear panel for the termination voltage to be adjusted and monitored. Input logic loads are maintained at the low level required by EUR 4600 (ie +/- 300uA).

Power Requirements

+6V, 3.0A.
