VTB 8203
Product Description The VTB 8203 is a 6U (double height) VME rear I/O transition board, which provides connection to the 8002 Carrier Board. It optionally conditions and routes the signals from two 50-way SCSI sockets to the carrier board via the J0 and J2 connectors of the VME backplane. The sixteen inputs on the lower SCSI connector are for current inputs; those on the top connector are voltage inputs, as on the VTB8201. The current inputs pass through a 500 ohm 0.01% precision resistor converting each to a 0-10 volt signal (other values available on request). The board includes sites for fitting R-C low-pass filters which can be selected by jumpers to be in or out of circuit. Optional on-board 5V to 12V DC-DC converters are connected to pins on the RP0/RP2 connectors to facilitate powering the plant side of isolated analogue circuits on IP boards which are mounted on the carrier board. Construction The unit is constructed to the VME64x standard, with EMC rear panel, injector/ejector handles, guide pin and slot keying, static discharge protection, hot swap capability, 5-row RP0 and RP2 connectors. Signal Path A rear-mounted transition card with two high-density 50-way [SCSI2] connectors accepts all I/O signals and provides direct or conditioned connection provided by PCB jumper settings.
