CAMAC 95 TTL Crystal Controlled Pulse Generator

Product Description

The 95 is a single width CAMAC pulse generator module which can provide a wide range of crystal controlled output frequencies, with 3 different waveshapes. This gated clock gives 136 different spot frequencies from 10 million per second to one per 2.7 minutes, based on 10MHz crystal clock. Basically the unit is driven by an internal 10MHz crystal clock, although it may equally be driven by an external TTL clock of up to 35MHz frequency.

Circuit Details

The basic clock pulses pass through a pre–divider (modulo ’n’) where ’n’ is set on PC switches to any integer from 1 to 16: if other than 1 is selected a front–panel LED is lit. The pulses then pass through a gate, which is controlled by an Inhibit–low front–panel TTL signal, to the high–rate output LEMO. Eight successive divide–by–ten circuits give lower–rate outputs, each connected to its LEMO socket via a pulse–shaping circuit controlled by a single front–panel switch to select 1: 1 Mark/Space, 1: 9 Mark/Space or 50nS pulse (nominal, for ’n’ = 1). All outputs are driven by a power buffer, are pulled up to 5V via 1K and have a TTL fan–out of 25. For those who wish to add in special control functions, dataway connections are brought to convenient PTH pads and there are sites for 20 IC’s on the PCB. Normal consumption +6V 330mA. Connectors LEMO RA 00250.
