5401 ISO5401 This is not a VME 64X product, but is related. It is a 2U high 19-inch rack-mounting unit, which is mains powered. It has 16 separate isolated, Analogue Isolation Amplifiers. They are 11bits on +/-10V signal range, BW is link selectable - 10Hz-100KHz, with +/--300 Volt Isolation, The Input gain can be set by jumpers on each channel at between x1, x10 or x100 Connection is via two 50 way SCSI-2 input and out put connectors, Compatible with the HYTEC 8401 (ADC) and 8402 (DAC), selection of the direction of isolation may be chosen at order time. 8001 VICB8001 Digital I/O 64 bits In, or 64 bits Out, or 32 bits I/O, There is program set Input contact de-bounce and program set Interrupt on state change of the Input data. The signals are TTL and are routed to the Transition board mounted at rear of the VME64X Crate. 8203 VTB8203

Analogue Input Transition Board, It provides 32 precision 50 Ohm  +/-0.01% resistor loads, which are normally used to provide signals to the 8401 ADC from 4-20mA current loop signals. Termination is via four 50 way SCSSI-2 connectors.
Note: Care with CMR may be needed if a lot of other instruments are also “Reading” the same signal.

This Analogue I/O Transition Board is a combination providing input and output functions, so that a pair 8401 and 8402 may be installed on a four-site carrier board and used with a single transition board. Input connections are via two 50 way SCSI-2 connectors to the two sets of 8 differential inputs from the IP cards. User links pass the signals direct or though a passive T filter, for signal noise reduction, to the ADC.

Transition Boards - Analogue Spec
8207 VTB8207 Analogue Input Transition Board. This board takes the voltage signals from an 8402 (0-+/-5V) and converts them into a 0- 20 mA current signals. It has a common earth return path, and works by sinking a positive current to earth. To work correctly, the external circuit has to provide a voltage of at least 6 volts at 20 mA. It may be up to 30 Volts. The conversion is accurate to +/-0.012% plus the input voltage accuracy. 4-20mA operations are via software coding the 8402. Transition Boards - Analogue Spec
8208 VTB8208 Analogue Output/Input Transition Board. This board sums sixteen pairs of IP DAC 8402 voltage signals with coarse and fine weighting to provide 16 voltage outputs with fine adjustment (better than 20mV). The voltages can be fed back to the inputs of the two IP ADC 8401 or two IP ADC 8403 cards to be monitored either by external connections or internal linking arrangements. The output side uses two SCSI-2 connectors, Each of group of 16 opto-isolated outputs has a common return path. The output sinks 5mA to return line and withstand up to 30V. Isolation is +/- 300Volts between sections and Earth. Delay time is about 30uS. There are four pairs of control signals.

This board is used with the 8001, in output only mode, gives four sets of 16 bits, together with two control signals all opto-isolated, with common return paths. 8305 VTB8305 Isolated Digital Input/Output Transition Board This board has two 16 bit +two control line, input opto-isolated groups and two 16 bit + two control line output groups. Inputs are any voltage from 4-30 Volts, they must deliver be able to 5mA. At the voltage, they have automatic current control built in. Sample and hold circuit is built in, as is the programmable timer. Trigger is by the timer or the external input, at up to 100KHz update rate on all eight inputs. Accurate to 13.5 bits. The 2 Mb memory may be per loaded and the DAC outputs triggered, by the internal program timer or by the external trigger input. This forms a simple arbitrary waveform generator. 8403.1 IP-MUXADC-8403.1 DC 20bit accurate, 24 bit resolution, 16-channel multiplexed, ADC Industry Pack with 1MB RAM. The pack contains two eight input Sigma Delta micro controlled ADC chips, which may be programmed via the IP interface. This is a slow ADC device, which will give about ten readings per second for each chip in to the local memory. The chips have provision for Opto-isolation via the TRANSITION BOARD and a DC/DC converter. There are a number of modes, which include the use of ON chip program to set DAC current sources for excitation of transducers. Open circuit detection, ratio-metric, & resistance measurements. 8513 IP-ENCODER-8513 4-channel Quadrature Encoder Industry Pack. The 8513 is a Xilinx revised version of the 8512 which caters for four quadrature-output encoders. The signals Phase A, Phase B and index are connected as inputs and operate on four 32-bit up/down counters, which can be read at any time (and written too). Each channel has: 32-bit step register, 32-bit absolute position up/down counter, which records movements and registers to select start/stop speed, high speed and ramp rate, all writeable and readable. The speed register are programmable in the range 1 to 65530 steps per second and the ramp rate can be programmed between 64 and 50000 steps per second per second.
